The election for Yellowknife Education District No. 1’s Board of Trustees will take place on Monday, October 15, 2018. In order to vote for a nominee, you must be registered to vote with the City of Yellowknife and must have chosen Yellowknife Education District No. 1 (called “Public” on the City’s enumeration forms). Enumeration is already underway for this fall’s election. You must clearly identify your preference at the time of enumeration to be eligible to vote for the board of your choice on Election Day. If you do not state your preference, your voter record will default to “Public”. Your school district cannot be changed on Election Day, as the last day to revise the voters' list is Friday, October 5, 2018.
It is important that you check this list to see that you have been included on it and that you have chosen the "Public" category. The City of Yellowknife will have the voters list available at various locations around town. You can also check the City’s website to see if you are on the voters' list and to see the school board preference. To add your name to the list and/or change the school board preference, click here.
